Who Will Win the Coral Regency?

The Coral Regency is sadly one of the last few major greyhound events still going strong, and tonight will see the initial heats of that event beginning, and whilst not the major betting event or sporting event it once was, there will be plenty of punters taking their chances on the ante post betting markets.

Up until the very first heat is run tonight you are going to find betting sites such as BetFred and Coral offering some decent odds on all greyhounds that will be taking their chances in that event, and the former bookie is paying out to four places and at one quarter the win odds as their each-way betting terms.

The is a good chance that one of the greyhounds at the top of the ante post betting markets will come good and win the final race, and therefore if you are a favourite backer then you should be looking at Magical Icarus to bet on for that greyhound is leading the field at odds of 9/2.

Stardom at 5/1 is currently chalked up as the second favourite, but do keep in mind that there are a huge number of greyhounds that are taking part in this event and the odds are bound to start to fluctuate once the heats have been run and the number of greyhounds have been reduced.

Other Greyhounds to Consider

Just be aware that as soon as the heats have been run bookies across the land are going to be adjusting their betting markets and the odds that do make it through their heats, so now is probably the very best time to back the third favourite Roxholme Poppy at odds of 6/1.

I also think that if you do fancy the odds of the fourth favourite, that being Antigua Fire and for reference those odds are 7/1, then you really ought to be backing that greyhound right now, for those odds will not be around for very much longer if it gets through the first heat it is running in.

Plenty of Other Runners to Consider

It is up to you of course if any of the odds on any of the other greyhounds are high enough to tempt you to back them before the heats in the Coral Regency begins, and there are plenty of other greyhounds that could run a very big race in their heats and even go on to win the final at huge odds currently.

Take for example Affleck Bolt at 10/1 that has to be the bet of the day in my opinion, especially if you are prepared to back that greyhound each-way, and some other each-way possibilities include the likes of Brigadier Bullet and I certainly wouldn’t underestimate the chance of both Clares Kyletaun and Goldie’s  Hotspur who are both trading at odds of 14/1.

You will be taking a few risks if you back either of the 16/1 shots those being Shotgun Happy and Roxholme Butt but those odds are the fore the taking and I am sure a few punters of there will also be tempted with the 20/1 odds that are on offer on both Aayamza Breeze and Avastorm too.
