Trying to lock in some decent odds when betting on any major darts tournament these days is almost impossible, when it is the favourites you are looking to back, for with players such as Michael van Gerwen playing in the form he currently is, he is often the very short odds-on favourite to win most tournaments.
However, there is of course one major darts tournament that he isn’t permitted to enter this year, and that is the upcoming Women’s BDO World Trophy darts tournament, and having spent some time this morning studying the current early betting markets on that tournament, there really is some excellent betting value on offer.
With that in mind today I want to take a look at the current state of that early betting market and I will be pointing out the entrants that have a fair and reasonable chance of success in that tournament this year but I will also point out the players and their respective odds that have an outsider chance of winning it too.
From all the entrants in the Women’s BDO World Trophy this year there are just three of them that are being offered at single digit odds, and fortunately none of them are being touted currently at shorts odds-on, and for reference they are Lisa Ashton at 5/2, Mikuru Suzuki at 7/2 and Fallon Sherrock who is a 13/2 chance.
Back the 10/1 Shots Each-Way
It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if a player that was on offer at high odds on the early betting markets for this tournament did go on to win it and therefore it may just pay dividends for you to back one of the current 10/1 shots but back them each-way.
You will be paid out at one third of the win odds when doing so to two places too and those 10/1 shots that are there for the taking right now include Aileen de Graaf, Anastasia Dobromyslova and Deta Hedman.
Take Your Pick
It is of course up to you and you alone as to whether you will fancy betting on this upcoming darts tournament, and just which of the players you back too, however let me know give you an insight into just how high the odds currently are on some of the other entrants.
Lorraine Winstanley does know how to throw a dart of course and I am confident that some of you out there will rate her chances, and she is easy to back right now ta odds of 12/1, and the same can also be said for players such as Maria O’Brien who is a 18/1 chance and also Laura Turner who is being offered at some even higher odds of 22/1.
Odds as high as 25/1 are currently being offered at most betting site and bookies shops on players like Casey Gallagher, Corrine Hammond, Paula Jacklin and Trina Gulliver and a few of you out there may fancy taking your chances on Sharon Prins who is a huge 33/1 shot too.
