Today I want to take a look at one betting market that you may not have even realised existed, and that is a betting market that is going to allow you to bet on any jockey that you think is going to be crowned the Champion National Hunt Jockey of the season.
Many betting sites have had that type of betting market open for quite some time, however there are only a small handful of jockeys that do have any realistic chance of winning the title this season, and as such below I will be giving you an insight into just whom those jockeys are.
The one jockey that is certainly currently in the form of his life and one that many pundits and stating that he will go on to win the title this season is Richard Johnson, and so strong has been the support from him that his current odds of doing so are tiny and those odds for reference are just 2/7.
However, there is one jockey that I do think is certainly going to be worth keeping and eye on and also having a bet on to be crowned the champion National Hunt jockey this season and that is Brian Hughes, whose odds are much better at 5/2.
Harry Skelton and Harry Cobden
You may however have your very own ideas as to just which jockey is going to be crowned the champion National Hunt jockey this season and if you feel that jockey so going to be for example Harry Skelton his odds right now are well worth taking seeing as they are 16/1.
There is also always the chance that a jockey such as Harry Cobden could win the title race and if he does so and you have taken his current odds of 33/1, then you will be laughing all the way to the bank for sure.
Jockeys that are Friendless in the Betting
As for the chance of any of the outsiders beating their odds and going on to win the title of being the champion National Hunt jockey of this season, well there are a few other jockeys to consider betting on one of whom is the current 40/a shot that jockey being Sam Twiston-Davies.
Another jockey who some of you out there may be very keen to back is the talented Aidan Coleman whose odds do look at tad overpriced right now seeing as they are huge at 66/1.
As for whether Nico De Boinville and Sean Bowen will win the title, well as their odds are both 100/1 I do think that it’s very fair and true to say they do not have very much chance of winning the title this year, but if you do rate their chances then now is the time to secure those massive odds of course.
