There are of course still plenty of golf tournaments scheduled for the rest of this year, however when it comes to savvy punters getting the best value when betting on golf it will be the long-term betting markets, they concentrate their betting efforts on.
One betting market that I have noticed has just gone live for the 2020 PGA season is the money list betting market, and as its name suggest you are going to have to try and work out which player will win the most money competing in PGA tours next season.
The one aspect of placing a bet this earl that will likely appeal to many of you out there is that there are going to be some rather generous odds attached to all golfers, and as such if you are prepared to bet nice and early on that betting market there is value waiting to be mopped up.
As for the two players that many punters and fans of golf are convinced are going to win the vast share of the PGA prize money next year are Brooks Koepka who is currently available at odds of 5/2 and then you have the second favourite that being Rory McIlroy at 7/2.
Bet Each-Way Instead
I will leave the decision as to whether you do place a bet on the 2020 PGA money list nice and early, and also just which golfer or golfers you do place a bet on, but you may not know some bookies will also let you bet each-way too on hat betting market.
Value is of course the one thing you should be demanding when betting each-way, and I do like the fact that Coral are offering punters one fifth of the win odds and are paying out to four places on each-way bets placed with them on this betting market currently.
Some Additional Golfers to Ponder Over
You can of course place as many bets on as many golfers as you like right now but some that I do think are going to be worth backing include the likes of golfers such as both Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas at 9/1.
Then you will start to be offered double digit odds on many of the other golfers and one that is a very reasonable each-way betting proposition right now if you can secure the odds I am about to reveal to you is Jon Rahm and the odds you should be hunting for are at least 12/1.
Three golfers that are always going to give you a very good run for your money include Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele at 14/1 and Justin Rose at 22/1 and any of them could end up at the top of next year’s PGA money list.
The rest of the fancied golfers are Bryson Dechambeau, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Tiger Woods at 33/1 followed then by Tony Finau at 40/1 and then you have the likes of Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Day and Webb Simpson all of whom can be backed at odds of 50/1.
