McIlroy Favourite to Win the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play

I know that many golf fans out there will be planning on watch this year’s WGC Dell Technologies Match Play live on TV or at the very least will be watching the daily highlights of that tournament, but they may also be looking to place a bet on the golfer they think will win it.

You may currently be looking at the long list of golfers that are signed up for that golf tournament that begins today and trying to work out which of them it will be worth placing a bet on, either to win or to get placed.

The current betting markets available over at the Betfred betting site iso one that I really would encourage you to check out if you are planning on betting on that tournament, for they have some decent odds chalked up on each golfer and are offering some favourable each-way terms to all their customers too.

Those each-way terms for reference will see the place part of an each-way bet being paid out at one quarter of the win odds and to four places too, so if you do fancy backing the current favourite that being Rory McIlroy at his current odds of 10/1, you will still be in profit even if he doesn’t finish in first position but does get placed in any of the top four positions.

Second and Third Favourites to Win

It is Dustin Johnson that is currently the second favourite to win this major golf tournament this year, and there has bene some hefty bets place don him to do so and currently if you get your stakes on you can also back him at his current odds of 11/1.

As for the third favourite to win this tournament this year, well that golfer is Justin Thomas and there is certainly plenty of value still to be had backing him before the tournament starts today at his outright win odds at Betfred, those being 16/1.

Bag Some Each-Way Betting Value

Keep in mind that with those very fair each-way betting terms that Betfred are offering today, you could place quite a few such bets and still end up winning on each of them, as long of course as your chosen golfers do finishing in any of the top four spots.

That therefore means that it could be worth placing a bet on golfers such as Jon Rahm at 20/1 or indeed any of the current 22/1 shots including Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, Jason Day and Brooks Koepka.

Bryson Dechambeau is one of four golfers that can be backed right now at outright win odds of 25/1 which does mean they are valued each-way bets too and the other three golfers are Paul Casey, Francesco Molinari and Tiger Woods at 25/1

Bubba Watson is available at 28/1 and you can get 30/1 on both Xander Schauffele and Tony Finau if you do think they have a chance of winning or betting placed.
