This coming Friday the 17th of May 2019 is when the next running of the Matchbook Yorkshire Cup is going to be taking place over at the York racecourse, and there is one horse that punters have been very heavily backing, and that horse is Stradivarius.
In fact, the volumes of early money coming in for that horse has seen its odds plummet on the ante post betting markets and as such you are going to be very hard-pressed to find bookie offering you odds on it winning higher than 4/5, but if you do and you fancy its chances make sure you bag those odds for they may just drop even further.
Whilst most punters are of the mindset that Stradivarius is going to win this race and probably by quite a few lengths too, there are of course plenty of other runners in this race, in fact there are currently 29 horses in total expected to run it is.
That means there is loads of each-way betting possibilities, and if you are planning on betting that way you can easily get one fifth of the win odds at most bookies who will be paying out to three places on this race, in fact there is a chance you may find one or two betting sites paying out to four places if you hunt around!
Yorkshire Cup Each-Way Betting
If you think that they favourite is going to get beat, or simply fancy the chances of any of the other horses to fill one of the top three spots at least, then there are several horses that could be worth backing each-way.
Take for example Capri, there is a lot to like about that horse for sure and it wouldn’t be too much of a shock if it did get placed, and there is always going to be a chance it could win too, and by getting a move on and backing it today you should be able to secure odds of 5/1 on it.
Other Runners Worth Checking Out
With such a huge field of runners taking part in this year’s Matchbook Yorkshire Cup, it could be the case that the race isn’t going to go as some jockeys and trainers may have thought, of anything can happen of course with such a big field of runners, especially around a course such as the one at York.
There are several other horses that do standout based on the form they have so far shown, and who would have thought that horses such as Kew Gardens and Dee Ex Bee would be on offer at odds as high as 6/1 to win this race earlier on in the season!
Other horses that have been attracting a little bit of support so far on the early betting markets include Ispolini at 7/1, Young Rascal and Southern France who are both 10/1 shots, and one horse that I do particularly like the look of and one that I will be backing each-way is Laraaib who looks an extremely solid each-way bet at its current win odds of 12/1!
