Latest Tour de France Betting

You will often hear the term betting value when it comes to betting on the futures and ante post betting markets, and there is no doubt that when you do place a bet long in advance of any sporting event starts on those types of betting markets you can often bag yourself some high odds.

In fact, most bookies these days are going to be offering ante post and futures betting markets on a very wide and diverse range of different sporting events, and one that is currently of interest to plenty of punters are the ones attached to the 2019 running of the Tour de France.

When shopping around from betting site to betting site you are often going to find different odds being offered to you on the riders that are expected to take part in the Tour de France, and one that has been the favourite to win this years running on that race is the talented Chris Froome whose odds reflect his chances of winning it being as they are 6/4.

As you have until July the 6th to place a bet on that race, that being the day the first stage starts, do spend some time hunting around for the bets odds available at different bookies, but one ride you will find is chalked up as the second favourite at all of them is Geraint Thomas at 5/2!

What Are the Chances of Tom Dumoulin Winning?

Riders such as Tom Dumoulin have certainly been putting in the training hours required to be in with a decent chance of winning the Tour de France, and as such he is one rider that could win this event and it wouldn’t be too much of a shock if he went on to do so and he is available at or around win odds of 6/1.

As for whether it will be riders such as Richie Porte that goes on to win this major cycling event is anyone’s guess, but if you are of the mindset that he may just do so then you should be backing him right now whilst his outright winner odds are still high enough at 8/1.

Bigger Odds on All Other Riders

The odds do obviously get bigger on each of the other riders that will be taking part in the Tour de France later this year, and with that in mind as some of you out there may fancy placing some each-way bets on a few of the lesser fancied riders let me give you some ideas as to who may just be worth placing such a bet on.

You will find that Adam Yates and Primoz Roglic are both currently trading at or around the 12/1 mark and some much bigger odds of 14/1 are being offered on Nairo Quintana, but do consider the chance of Egan Bernal for he does look like one of those standout each-way bets if you can find a bookie offering odd of around 16/1 on him winning.
