Today I am going to be looking at the current state of the futures betting markets on the Canadian Grand Prix, which is going to be staged over in Canada on the 9th of June, which as usual is on a Sunday.
There are plenty of drivers that are going to be lining up and taking their chances in that race, however looking at the current betting markets the one driver that most punters are backing is Lewis Hamilton who has been backed down to win odds of just 23/20.
There is of course always going to be a second favourite on races such as this one, and if you think that for whatever reason Hamilton isn’t going to win then maybe you should be backing that second favourite, that currently being Valtteri Bottas at 9/4.
I do honestly think that it will be one of the two drivers named above that are going to win this race, however two others that come into the reckoning based on their current form are Sebastian Vettel at 7/2 along with Charles Leclerc at 5/1 too.
Bet to Win or Each-Way
I will leave it up to you to try and work out just which driver you do fancy having a flutter on to win the 2019 Canadian Grand Prix, however be aware that you can also place an each-way bet if you prefer.
By doing so over at betting sites such as the Coral bookies site, you will be paid out on the place part of any each-way bet you place on this race at one third of the win odds if your chosen driver finishes in first or second place.
High Risk Canadian Grand Prix Bets
Whilst the chances of any other driver winning the Canadian Grand Prix are very low, as long as bookies are offering huge odds on some drivers, there will always be some punters out there prepared to take those huge odds of course.
The other drivers that are listed higher up rather than lower down the betting market on this race include the likes of Max Verstappen who at odds of 16/1 is probably going to appeal to each-way backers.
I can’t remember when a driver won this race who was being offered at odds in the three digits before the race started, however just for reference you can back Pierre Gasly is 100/1 and four drivers chalked up at even higher odds are Daniel Ricciardo, Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg and Romain Grosjean and they can all be backed all day long at odds of 750/1.
