One of the next major upcoming darts tournaments is of course the European Darts Open, and there will be plenty of you out there that will fancy having an interest in that event I’m more than confident of that.
If so then there are a few online and mobile betting sites that do have their respective futures betting markets open on that event, and one that does appear to be offering some of the highest possible industry leading odds currently is Paddy Power, so below I will be looking at just what odds they are offering.
I should initially point out however that not only are you going to be able to bet on any darts player to win this tournament you can also back them each-way too, and Paddy Power are going one third the win odds to two places on their each-way betting terms.
As for the one player that most punters will be of the mind is going to win this darts tournament and with no great deal of effort either is of course Michael van Gerwen but he is available at some very short odds to win this event sadly and those odds for reference are just 11/10.
Second and Third Favourites to Win
The odds on the current favourite to win do suggest that win this tournament will be something he will do, however there is plenty of value to be had if you do fancy the chance so any other player to win as the favourites odds are so low the other players have much higher odds attached to them.
Two of the most fancied players if you do take the favourite out of the equation are both Rob Cross at 8/1 and Peter Wright at 9/1 and to be fair it wouldn’t be too much of a shock if either of them did win this tournament this year.
Other Players to Consider Backing
There are of course a huge number of darts players that will have their eye on the prize money on this tournament, and the next player in the betting is Michael Smith is 16/1 who may attract a few punters especially those wishing to back him each-way at those odds.
Mensur Suljovic is on offer at odds of 20/1 but whether he is going to have a good tournament and either win it or make it into the second spot if you fancy backing him each-way does of course remain to be seen.
Moving onto the next players in the betting James Wade and Gerwyn Price are both 22/1 shots, and to be fair to both of them those odds are generous and I feel there may be a little bit of value to be had by backing them each-way right now.
There are only two other darts players that I feel have any chance of winning or getting placed albeit small chances and they are Glen Durrant and Adrian Lewis who you can back right now at Paddy Power at some fair odds it does have to be said of 25/1.
