I for one have been keeping a very close eye on the current AFL Grand Final Winner betting markets, for there is plenty of value waiting to be mopped up by punters that are prepared to take the current odds being offered at sites such as Quinnbet.
In fact, it is fair to say that any of the five or six teams listed at the top of their AFL betting market are on offer at some very decent odds and it wouldn’t be a surprise at all of any of those teams did go on to win the AFL this season.
However, rather than just stick a pin into the names of those teams at random and bet on that team the pin sticks in, in the hope they go on to win, I have been trying to work out just where the true value lays, and have decided that once everything is taken into account it is Melbourne that I feel are going to win.
As for what odds you will be rewarded with if you agree with me that Melbourne will win, well if you act fast and do head on over to Quinnbet you can get odds of 7/1 on Melbourne and that is my opinion is a smart bet and one offer plenty of betting value too.
First and Second Favourites
At odds of 7/1 Melbourne are not the current favourite or even the second favourite to win the AFL this season, for the current favourite is Richmond and as for just what odds they are available at those odds are 4/1.
It is both West Coast and Collingwood that you will find are next listed on the betting market and as for the odds you will get offered you if you do back either of those teams at this current moment in time, well those odds are 6/1
Essendon and the Other Teams
At their current odds of 11/1, Essendon do appear to have a reasonable but certainly not great chance of winning the AFL this season and the same can also be said for the likes of Greater Western Sydney at 12/1 and also Geelong, Adelaide and Sydney Swans all at 14/1.
It s going to be a big ask for Hawthorn to be crowned champions of the AFL this season and that is reflected in their 20/1 win odds, and are you prepared to bet on Port Adelaide considering their current outright winner betting odds are 22/1?
There isn’t much money swilling around for any of the other teams for you will be put off betting on teams such as North Melbourne at 33/1 and the Western Bulldogs at 40/1 and even the Brisbane Lions and Fremantle both at 66/1 when you check out their form figures!
Carlton and St Kilda are both trading at huge odds of 100/1 and the final team that I haven’t yet mentioned are Gold Coast and as for just how high their odds are, they are the rank outsider it’s fair to say at 250/1!
