Newbury is the home of the Coolmore Stud Handicap, and this year, whilst there are plenty of runners in that race there isn’t one you could say is worthy of odds-on status, but that does of course mean there is plenty of value to be had if you do fancy a bet on that race.
The current favourite is Habub at 3/1, however whether that horse is truly deserving of being the favourite is open to debate, and take my word for it if it doesn’t run up to its best form shown to date then there will be plenty of other horses that could win this race.
One that is expected to run a very big race is Walk on Walter, and having been backed down from double digit odds recently to its current odds of 11/2, there is certainly plenty of value to be had if you do fancy the chances of that horse which plenty of punters do by the way.
If you are interested in having a punt on this years running of the Coolmore Stud Handicap race then do keep in mind there are plenty of bookies offering decent each-way terms, one that springs to mind is William Hill who are paying out at one fifth of the win odds to three places
Who to Back Each-Way?
If both of the two horses listed up above do fill the first and second spots in this race, then there is still one more placed horses that will see you getting paid out on each-way bets placed on it, and therefore there are a few horses one of which could be worth backing each-way.
Two that could be worth taking a much closer look at if you do fancy getting some each-way betting value are Fille de Reve who is currently trading at around the 6/1 mark and also Embour who looks a decent each-way bet at the 7/1 odds currently being offered by multiple bookies.
The Rest of the Field
Seven other horses will be lining up this year in the Coolmore Stud Handicap, and as such I will now give you some idea as to just what odds you can get on each of them.
Two horses are chalked up at odds of 8/1 currently and they are Vibrant Chords and Mokarris, next in the betting are two 10/1 shots, those being Global Tango and Ice Age, the odds then jump up to 16/1 on the next two horses in the field those being Miracle of Medinah and Fighting Irish and the rank outsider is Normandy Barriere who is very easy to back at odds of 20/1
Keep in mind though if you do fancy any of the horses which are lesser fancied you are going to get some much better odds at a betting exchange rather than a bookies site, so do get over to Betfair and checkout just how high the odds are on any of the outsiders you do fancy.
