Ante Post Betting on the 2019 US PGA Championship

May is when the 2019 US PGA Championship golf tournament will be in play, and it may just prove beneficial for you to consider placing a range of bets on any of the golfers that you think are going to do well in that tournament right now.

The main reason for suggesting you put a long term bet right now on any golfers you do fancy the chances of is that there are some generous odds available on the futures betting markets at betting sites such as Ladbrokes.

In fact, the current joint favourites to win that tournament are on offer right now at 10/1 and as such there is value to be had if you choose to back a golfer to win the tournaments outright or even place an each-way bet on any of them.

Ladbrokes for reference are paying out to five positions in the tournaments at a quarter of the win odds on their each-way betting terms, so any of the current joint favourites this being Dustin Johnson or Tiger Woods could be worth backing there.

A Number of 12/1 Shots are in with a Chance

The two joint favourites, even if they do get placed will return a decent winning payout if you have backed them each-way, however there are a number of 12/1 shots that I do like the look of and they include the likes of  Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy too.

A few other golfers that would surprise anybody if they did finish in one of the top five positions of this tournaments are Jordan Spieth who is easy to back right now at odds of 14/1, Justin Rose who is a 16/1 shot and Jason Day, Jon Rahm and Rickie Fowler who are all on offer at odds of 20/1.

Other Backable Outsiders

As for who else could get placed or with a lot of luck in playing finish first in this golf tournament, well there are a handful of talented and very experienced golfers that are available at some much more appealing odds, especially to each-way backers.

They include both Bryson Dechambeau and Xander Schauffele, who if you are quick can be backed at odds of 25/1, and then you have the likes of Francesco Molinari, Patrick Reed, Tommy Fleetwood and Tony Finau all at 33/1.

I am not sure if any of the remainder of the field has what it takes to win a golf tournament of this nature, but you could if you do fancy the chances of the likes of Bubba Watson, Cameron Champ, Henrik Stenson and Hideki Matsuyama back them now and get odds of 40/1 on each of them.

Just make sure you do shop around to ensure you get the best odds available, as each betting sites odds compilers are going to have a different view as to just which golfers are going to win or get placed, so there is value to be had by shopping around!
